Our customers use technology to create awe-inspiring images and sound, consumed on screens and devices of all formats and sizes. They create (and teach) animation, visual effects, video games, music, immersive experiences and more for film, television and mobile devices, whether streamed or even as part of a live performance.

Thanks to the cloud, the way that content creation technology is acquired is changing as rapidly as the devices it’s consumed on. We’re excited about the opportunities these industry and market changes present, which is why Annex Pro has embarked on a company-wide strategic plan to dramatically accelerate our continuing commitment to bring added value to our customers.

We’ve strategically aligned with some of the most progressive manufacturers in Media and Entertainment such as long-time Partners Autodesk and Avid, and many more (including a few we can’t talk about yet).

We’re headquartered in Vancouver, Canada and are scaling up operations in North America, with offices in Los Angeles, Toronto, Montreal… and more to come. In order to support that growth, Annex Pro is looking for a Director of Sales to lead a next-generation sales team.

You’ve either excelled in individual sales and have proven leadership abilities. Or have already led a regional team and are ready for that next step. Or maybe you just want to make a difference in a new industry.

The Director of Sales will report to the CEO, collaborating with an elite Executive Team. You’ll be responsible for creating a new structured sales process, leading a mixed group of new and experienced reps. The team will grow through your hiring and onboarding new reps, to a scale that’s able to meet and exceed revenue targets through their activities. You’ll harness the power of these direct reports, driving sales force productivity and extracting the best performance from each individual.

Responsibilities and Duties

-Executing a profitable revenue growth strategy with existing and new customers, aligned with our strategic Partners
-Build a plan to regularly hire, onboard and train new sales reps to become effective as we scale into new regions, with new products to new customers
-Growing, overseeing and managing a team of salespeople to become effective in the USA and Canada
-Seeking out major clients and forming working relationships with the premier buyers in the Media and Entertainment industry
-Set targets, performance plans, and rigorous, objective standards for sales reps
Monitor the progress of 500+ accounts across all sales channels, and pinpoint ways to penetrate new markets
-Provide hands-on support for sales reps as they generate leads and close new deals
-Collaborate with Customer Success to create the top Customer Experience in the M+E industry
-Collaborate with Marketing to develop and implement new initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key customer personas
-Communicate voice of the customer (VOC) data to executive team
-Ensure that the sales department works cross functionally with executives from other departments
-Accurately forecasting future sales and forming sales growth plans to adapt to constant shifts in the marketplace
-Meet with reps one-on-one regularly to review performance, progress, and targets
-Serving as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, and expositions

Qualifications and skills

-10+ years of B2B/B2C sales experience, ideally in Media & Entertainment (but not mandatory), IT and cloud systems with 5+ years in a leadership/senior sales position
-Strong experience developing strategic sales initiatives, overseeing sales team operations, and presenting detailed performance tracking reports and analysis to senior management.
-Demonstrated success in achieving sales objectives through effective planning, setting sales goals, analyzing data on past performance, and forecasting future performance
-Track record of superior performance metrics
-Strong experience developing and executing online selling methodologies
-Advanced understanding and command of CRM software (NetSuite preferred)
-Ability to demonstrate solid understanding of market trends and important issues in the industries that Annex Pro sells to, including: animation, VFX, videogame development, digital media education, audio and video post-production, immersive experiences, music recording, broadcast, and advertising
-Strong analytical skills: demonstrate ability to use data-driven reports to spur sales coaching sessions and empower reps to take ownership of their opportunity pipelines
-High achieving, ambitious, and results-oriented
-Empathetic personality with the ability to understand customer viewpoint and what constitutes customer success
-Demonstrated ability to build relationships with peers, cross-functional counterparts, and upper management
-Innovative, able to generate original solutions and lots of ideas
-Decisive and comfortable making quick decisions
-Impeccable communication skills
-Excellent negotiation skills
-Strong decision-making abilities
-Committed to helping others be successful
-Ability to unite a team under a shared vision and know what motivates each member
-Able to work and travel in North America and internationally
-Committed to continuous education by attending professional workshops, industry events, certification courses, and reviewing professional publications
