Our Whites Camera department is currently looking to add a Customer Service Representative and a Prep Technician to our growing team. These are both permanent full-time positions located in our Toronto office.

Reporting to the Director, Client Services & Operations and Director, Technical Services & Operations the main duties of a Customer Service Representative are as follows:

•Collection of all job-related information, including job name, production type, job dates and job contacts and e-mail address.
•Assist, when applicable, in the collection of all required customer information, including insurance certification, customer contacts, shipping and billing addresses.
•Receive equipment requests from customers (primarily via phone/email).
•Entering equipment orders and generating quotes for both short and long format projects as needed.
•Provide day to day support to productions in the regional offices.
•Receive approval from customers for all rentals, and any associated costs.
•Procurement of any required sub-rentals, ensuring accurate revisions of pricing and costs associated with any sub-rentals to customers, confirmation to sub-rental suppliers, obtaining all sub-rental equipment, and processing sub-rental P.O.’s.
•Follow up with production staff if requests for equipment are changing. Ensuring all pricing/costs associated with any changes are approved by the customer prior to the release of equipment.
•Liaise with the Whites Camera team (including prep technicians, technicians and driver) during camera preps.
•Process missing and damaged reports for equipment returns, sending the reports to production for approval of payment.
•Aid in the appropriate billing of orders (rentals and L&D) by ensuring their accuracy and correct billing information is on hand.
•Keep accurate and up-to-date records within the computer system and paperwork back-up.
•Field any customers concerns or complaints and ensure all concerns or complaints are addressed in a timely manner.
•Remain updated on new equipment and technologies in order to aid customers.
•Ensure that all departmental policies and procedures are followed.
•Create a work environment that fosters creativity, ingenuity and high staff morale.
•Other duties as required.

•Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working in a motion picture industry rental house in a CSR role, using a rental software program.
•Working knowledge of motion picture camera equipment, specifically ARRI and RED technology.
•Post-secondary education in a motion picture industry related program would be considered an asset.
•On-set experience in a camera related capacity would be considered an asset.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.).
•Must be willing to work flexible hours.
•Must have strong organizational, interpersonal and multitasking skills.
•Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
•Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Reporting to the Director, Client Services & Operations and Director, Technical Services & Operations the main duties of a Prep Technician are as follows:

•Pull orders and assist camera clients during camera preps.
•Assist with processing the return of camera equipment, including determining possible missing equipment and performing technical inspections for potential damages.
•Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the camera equipment, the warehouse and general departmental work areas.
•Other duties as required.

•In-depth technical/mechanical knowledge of current digital imaging and related camera equipment/accessories (ARRI, Red specifically).
•1-2 years’ experience working in a camera rental house an asset.
•Valid G Driver’s License and clean Driver’s Abstract.
•Ability and willingness to work flexible hours/shifts when needed.
•Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative.
•Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
•Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Demonstrated ability to work well autonomously and in a team environment.
•Strong organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail required.
