Our Business Affairs team is across Reel One’s substantial slate of scripted projects from development to distribution, working alongside the finance, development, production and distribution teams in Canada, US and abroad. We are big picture problem solvers.
Our Business Affairs department is looking for a talented Contract Administrator who will report to the VP of Business and Legal Affairs. He/she will be drafting, organizing and tracking various agreements – from writers agreements to a variety of rights agreements – and will act as the liaison between Reel One executives and third-party agents and lawyers. The Contract Administrator will also be responsible for calculating, tracking, processing (with accounting) and generally overseeing the payments due during development, including liaising with agents and guilds as needed. The candidate will also be responsible for tracking project status during development, including expenditures and key milestone dates such as option expirations and the like. The position is based in Vancouver/Burnaby. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in contract administration or coordination. Most importantly, he/she will have a keen eye for detail and a willingness to roll up his/her sleeves and learn!
